Latest Guidance for visiting the practice

We want to remain a safe environment for all patients who need to visit us and as such we are kindly asking all patients to continue to wear a face covering when in the practice, regardless of the health conditions or vaccination status.  We will carry on social distancing and there will be sanitizer on arrival.

Although we can carry out face to face appointments and Aerosol Generating Procedures, we have had to zone our appointment book to allow these treatments to be booked in following all of the guidance and ‘fallow’ time required (time that the surgery needs to be left before we can commence deep cleaning)

Please do not come to the practice without an appointment, If you have a dental emergency please do call us on 01509 413965 and speak to one of the emergency care team.

Those who have appointments, we will remain advising you of the measures we must take to keep everyone safe.  These will include completing a thorough medical history and COVID health screening form before your appointment, wearing a face covering and sanitising your hands on arrival.

For the most up to date information please check our facebook and instagram accounts.

Ash and the team want to thank you again for your support and understanding during this unprecedented time and we very much look forward to seeing you all soon.

Quote I have a phobia of dentists. I have had it since I was very young. I am now 67 years old. Over the years I have visited several dentists who, initially, were understanding and sympathetic. But it didn’t last long. As a result of poor oral hygiene, leading to abscesses, I have lost several teeth. But ten years ago, I was recommended to go to Soar Valley Dental Practice and I’ve never looked back.

At my first appointment, I had a long interview with Faye, the Care Coordinator at the time, who talked me through all my fears and concerns, giving me reassurance all the way. She then sat with me throughout my first consultation with the dentist, Ash, checking with me all the time that I was ok. I felt completely safe.

Since then I have had various procedures including root canal work, extractions and a bridge. I have never hesitated to attend any of my appointments whereas, with previous dentists, I would often phone on the morning of the appointment to cancel, claiming to be “ill”. I have signed up to the Dental Plan which gives me four visits per year; two with my lovely hygienist, Fiona, and two more with both the hygienist and the dentist.

So, as you can probably guess, I recommend Soar Valley Dental Practice most highly. Every member of the staff is friendly, non-judgmental and kind. I always feel safe and, dare I say it, actually look forward to my appointments! I’m going to see friends who care about me and the health of my teeth and mouth.

The plan gives me reduced prices on any treatments that are needed; for example, I recently needed an emergency appointment to repair a broken tooth. Ash saved the tooth and built me a new one which is unnoticeable from the others. The cost saving was very good! Quote
