!! Patient update !!
We are re-opening in Monday 15th June
We have been working hard behind the scenes and are taking every precaution to ensure a safe environment for all of our patients and team.
We will be introducing a phased return where we will only be seeing emergency patients and callng those patients who have experienced dental problems during the time of our closure.
Due to the restrictions in obtaining enhanced PPE we can not carry out any treatment that creates aerosol . Once we have this PPE and have been tested for its use we will be contacting the patients that require this type of treatment.
As guidance allows and as the restrictions ease we will introduce other treatments and routine care.
We will carry on triaging emergency dental care, if you have a dental emergency please do call us on 01509 413965 and speak to one of the emergency care team.
Please do not come to the practice as we still cannot see you in person.

Ash and the team want to thank you again for your support and understanding during this unprecedented time and we very much look forward to seeing you all soon.
I have a phobia of dentists. I have had it since I was very young. I am now 67 years old. Over the years I have visited several dentists who, initially, were understanding and sympathetic. But it didn’t last long. As a result of poor oral hygiene, leading to abscesses, I have lost several teeth. But ten years ago, I was recommended to go to Soar Valley Dental Practice and I’ve never looked back.
At my first appointment, I had a long interview with Faye, the Care Coordinator at the time, who talked me through all my fears and concerns, giving me reassurance all the way. She then sat with me throughout my first consultation with the dentist, Ash, checking with me all the time that I was ok. I felt completely safe.
Since then I have had various procedures including root canal work, extractions and a bridge. I have never hesitated to attend any of my appointments whereas, with previous dentists, I would often phone on the morning of the appointment to cancel, claiming to be “ill”. I have signed up to the Dental Plan which gives me four visits per year; two with my lovely hygienist, Fiona, and two more with both the hygienist and the dentist.
So, as you can probably guess, I recommend Soar Valley Dental Practice most highly. Every member of the staff is friendly, non-judgmental and kind. I always feel safe and, dare I say it, actually look forward to my appointments! I’m going to see friends who care about me and the health of my teeth and mouth.
The plan gives me reduced prices on any treatments that are needed; for example, I recently needed an emergency appointment to repair a broken tooth. Ash saved the tooth and built me a new one which is unnoticeable from the others. The cost saving was very good!
